Writing a novel can feel like working in the dark. This live workshop gives you thoughtful readers, focused guidance, and a place to figure out what your story needs next!
Together, we’ll workshop your works in progress, exploring character development, plot, pacing, and the emotional impact of your story. You’ll learn to recognize what’s working, understand where readers get lost, and turn feedback into concrete next steps. Reading and discussing your fellow writers’ work will help sharpen your eye for your own.
No story yet? No problem. We workshop outlines, too! You don’t need polished chapters — or a finished draft — to participate. If you’re still planning your novel, we can work through your story’s structure, character arcs, and missing pieces before you dive into drafting.
Come ready to share, read closely, and offer constructive feedback. The goal is to help you tell the story you want to tell with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.
COURSE DETAILS
This course is limited to ten students.
This course begins Monday, October 5th, 2026 and runs for 10 weeks.
COURSE TIMES: Monday evenings, 6pm - 9pm PST over Zoom.
There is no class November 23, 2026.
